Barrie McKay, Morton – The good news is that McKay made back-to-back appearances for last place Morton this week. The discouraging aspect is that he still can’t get back into the starting eleven. On Tuesday, McKay came in at the half in Morton’s 3-0 loss to Cowdenbeath. On another note, former Rangers forward, Kane Hemmings, made the subs bench for Cowdenbeath as he works his way back from a hamstring injury. Woeful Morton backed up their 3-0 loss on Tuesday with another 3-0 defeat on Saturday, this time to Queen of the South. McKay didn’t make it off the subs bench until the hour mark. Given the injury woes at Ibrox right now, it appears that McKay is being wasted for a Morton side that is dealing with serious morale issues as it is now getting run off the pitch, week-by-week. You can see McKay get an assist from last week at the 1:10 mark in the following video.
Kyle McAusland, Ayr United – as Richard Foster continues to show his value (or lack of) in preparation for next season, Kyle McAusland spent another match rotting away on the substitutes bench for Ayr. McAusland was left unused in the 3-2 loss to Stenhousemuir.
