Emilson Cribari has found a new home

Emilson Cribari

Emilson Cribari will be donning green & white this upcoming season as he has signed with the Hungarian club, Szaombathelyi Haladás.  The 34-year old has been searching for a new club ever since his contract with Rangers expired this summer.

Haladás have also signed Tommaso Rocchi, Cribari’s former teammate from his days at Lazio.  The club’s official website suggested that it was Rocchi who had approached management to secure a deal for Cribari.

Rocchi played eight seasons for Lazio & was Cribari’s teammate from 2005-10, where Cribari made 109 appearances.  Cribari joined Rangers in 2012 & made 33 appearances over his two seasons at Ibrox.  He only made four starts last season as he was primarily relegated to the bench.  He was listed as a sub 21 times last season, being called upon three times as a replacement.

Haladás finished sixth last season in NB 1, the top league in Hungary.

  1. None of the deals are done yet, they are only rumours.
Anyway, it is very interesting, because Haladás is well-known as a club which doesn’t have any foreign players in the past years.
