Many of you may have noticed that we have discontinued our Analytic Match Report Controlled Zone Entries from each game.  As the season has gone on, I have attempted to track a variety of statistics to gain a better understanding of which players are contributing the most to Rangers success.

Over the past six matches I have been cataloging the passes leading up to each shot that the team generates.  Coupling this data with the Controlled Entries into the final third has really added a layer of objective data that has been intriguing.

However, this takes time & that is why the decision to transition from the match day reports to bigger picture analytics had to be made.

Luckily, we will still have Jamie Currie’s Alternative Match Reports & the Goal Creation Graphs from Mike Driggs published from each match.

I will continue to post regularly & will soon be sharing the shot generation stats that I have collected

Lastly, a sincere thank you to all of our readers who have been patient with our transition this season.
