This will be part of an ongoing series that explains the various statistics that I will be making available this season – for every player, from every Scottish Premiership club. Here is a link to those stats
Expected Goals Contribution
This stat simply combines a player’s Expected Goals totals with their Expected Assists. This is one of my go-to stats because it can give you a real sense of which players are having the biggest, & most direct impact on a team’s chances of scoring a goal.
Other stats like xG Chain, Secondary Shot Assists, & Establishing Passes can help tell the story of who is part of the build-up to shots….but ultimately Expected Goals Contribution highlights who is having the biggest influence on that final product that leads to chance creation.

Here are the leaders in xG Contribution after one week of play:
These stats will be made available for FREE until September 7th. After that a one-time fee of £15 will be required to get access to the data. If circumstances change at any point & if I am unable to finish compiling the stats for the entire season than the money will be reimbursed.
